postcard 01

I haven't completed a single goal so far this week.  But I have stumbled upon another activity that keeps my mind off things... snail mail!

I love sending letters and 'things' back and forth with friends and family.  I don't quite have the drive to compose a complete letter at the moment, but creating a postcard is quite rewarding!  This one is for my mom (since Mother's day is just around the corner).  I don't think she checks my blog too often so I'm hoping this will be a surprise.  If not... surprise, ma!

postcard 01

My parents used to breed Schipperke's and Irish Setters when I was young.  There is an old snapshot of me with snarled morning-hair, turquoise sweatpants and a pink heart covered sweater holding one of the newborn pups in their whelping box.  Our Schipperke, Tasha, passed on long ago but I have fond memories of her (and all our other dogs) being my constant childhood companions.

i'm back

I needed to take some time away from blog land.  But here I am again, trying to keep myself motivated.  I haven't done much of anything in the past 2 weeks or so.  The goals for this week are...

(1) Get my apartment in order so I don't feel so claustrophobic when I come home.
(2) Force myself back into the studio so I can get these map drawings done.
(3) Find a weekly yoga class and actually show up for it.

Beau

As for a dog update - I'm currently fostering a teeny 36 pounder named Beau.  He is lovely and I enjoy having him in my home but I'll be performing a dog switcheroo today.  From what I understand the rescue group has a pure bred boxer who needs a quiet home to decompress for a few days before getting evaluated by an animal behavior specialist.  He may have some people aggression issues so it will be good for him to get out of the stressful kennel situation.

cupcakes

This week has been terrible.  Rachael made it better with some mini cupcakes.

my weekend

Lots of cleaning.  Lots of laundry.  And then some more cleaning.  Molly appreciated the fleeting moments when I could sit and scratch behind her ears.

Please can I get on the couch?
